I’m Ashish Singh — a life and wellness coach, and the author of The Northern Light Within: Bloom in Winter – Shine in Every Season.
I founded The Calm Mind to support people through anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions — not by fixing them, but by helping them reconnect with steadiness from within.
I work virtually with clients across Toronto, Canada, and around the world.
When life looked fine — but felt anything but
There was a chapter in my life when everything appeared successful on the outside.
Inside, it was a different story.
Anxiety, burnout, and a quiet sadness had settled in. I felt disconnected from myself, uncertain of my direction, and unsure how to begin again.
That period didn’t break me — but it slowed me down.
Instead of pushing harder, I began to rebuild in a different way.
Softly. Slowly. From within.
From personal healing to purposeful work
What began as a personal journey gradually became a deeper calling.
For more than 15 years, I’ve studied and practiced mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, emotional resilience, and both Eastern wisdom traditions and modern well-being science. This includes formal training in evidence-based well-being frameworks, such as Yale University’s Science of Well-Being.
Over time, these threads came together into a grounded, practical approach — one that helps people work with their minds in real life, not escape from it.
This became The Calm Mind.
How I work today
My role isn’t to offer quick fixes or constant positivity.
It’s to create a steady space where people can:
understand what’s happening beneath their stress or uncertainty
relate to their thoughts and emotions with more clarity
rebuild trust in themselves during difficult seasons
Clients often describe my coaching style as calm, intuitive, and deeply supportive — not because I promise transformation, but because I walk alongside them while change unfolds naturally.
What I believe
I believe every person carries an inner steadiness — something resilient and quietly guiding.
At times, it can feel distant or dimmed.
But it is never gone.
My work is simply to help you reconnect with it.
